Matcha tea powder, known as a superfood, offers an extraordinary tea experience. The powder, elaborately ground in traditional stone mills, is obtained from exclusive Japanese green tea plants using the Tencha production method. Only a small elite of Japanese tea farmers can produce Matcha tea, as it grows in special shade tea plantations. The tea plant compensates for the lack of sun with an intensive production of chlorophyll, which creates its unique, tart flavor. The stick lembke Organic Matcha comes from Shizuoka Prefecture, a tea-growing region at the foot of Mount Fuji in Japan.
