“As a child, I was captivated by the stories of my German father and the fascinating stories of my Afro-Brazilian mother.
These stories and my personal experiences as a black woman in Germany formed the essence of who I am today as an artist. My paintings reflected my Afro-Brazilian-German heritage. The folklore and colors of both cultures find their way into my art and become symbolic representations of the world I grew up in. Through these fantastical elements, I try to connect with my audience and invite them into a realm where cultural boundaries blur and imagination knows no bounds.“
